Our Community

Since 1913, St. Barnabas Elementary School has educated young people from the Woodlawn and Wakefield neighborhoods in the Bronx and the Dunwoodie and McLean Heights neighborhoods in Yonkers.

St. Barnabas Elementary School students share a strong bond with the local community and enjoy a close relationship with the St. Barnabas Parish, Community and St. Barnabas High School for girls. 
 
St. Barnabas School offers an inclusive environment in which diversity is respected and celebrated. We provide an excellent academic program in a safe, values-infused, environment that encourages children to use their talents in service of others.
 
St. Barnabas focuses on educating the whole child – mind, body and soul. Enrichment courses in music and the creative arts augment the curriculum and develop students’ interests. Students have regular access to the gymnasium, playground and participate in sports programs which promotes healthy habits and fitness.

We are committed to student success and work in partnership with families to ensure our graduates are well-prepared for high school and beyond.
